But don&#8217;t be surprised if I continue to refer to it as &#8220;Indigo&#8221; for a little while \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>To round out the batch, Avalon is dubbed the <a href=\"http:\/\/msdn.microsoft.com\/windowsvista\/building\/presentation\/default.aspx\">Windows Presentation Foundation<\/a>, and we are all part of the <a href=\"http:\/\/msdn.microsoft.com\/windowsvista\/about\/#winfx\">WinFX Runtime Components<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In related news, <a href=\"http:\/\/msdn.microsoft.com\/windowsvista\/\">Windows Vista<\/a> Beta 1 is now <a href=\"http:\/\/msdn.microsoft.com\/subscriptions\/\">available for MSDN subscribers<\/a>, and the official Beta 1 drop of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/downloads\/details.aspx?FamilyId=CE888B4C-CCBD-452F-9D90-F4B7190CCA24&#038;displaylang=en\">WinFx Runtime Components<\/a> (eerily similar to our May CTP) is also available.<\/p>\n<p>Lastly, check out <a href=\"http:\/\/msdn.microsoft.com\/windowsvista\/\">Windows Vista Developer Center<\/a> to see lots of pretty pictures and learn how the new branding of Longhorn will bring new clarity to your world \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today we announced the official names for Indigo, Avalon, and our ship vehicle (formerly known as &#8220;WAP&#8221; or &#8220;Windows API Pack&#8221;).
